‘Timewasters’ are a common complaint in the world of online ‘dating’.

Putting the warning ‘NO TIMEWASTERS!’ in your profile, as some do, seems doubly pointless. ‘Timewasters’ never think of themselves as ‘timewasters’, and if they did, they certainly wouldn’t be deterred by such rubric, only encouraged.

The way to avoid wasting time isn’t by posting timewasting declarations, but by deleting your account. Online ‘dating’ is itself a form of ‘timewasting’.
